Project II :The Elephants needs CARE!! 2

Ideation
-to create awareness the importants to preserve the forest as the habitat of the elephants.

Type of Game : maze
Target Audience : kids 9-12 years old
Objective: find your way out from the poachers and the loggers before the time runs out.
Additional objectives : free the other elephants for bonus points.

Storyline: Basically what im trying to do here is to give the 'target audience' a lesson and experience the life of the elephant; from the perspective of an elephant; how do they experience the hardness to safe their life;running away; while their habitat is destroyed.
  • The jungle is invaded by loggers and poachers
  • The jungle is in chaos
  • All the animals are running away and scattered
  • Some are trapped from the poacher's trap
  • Jungle burned
  • Find your way out
  • Save the other animals;elephants

Subject: Borneon Pygmy Elephant (based on the 5 endangered species in wwf.org.my)
Scientific name: Elephas maximus borneensis
Habitat: Lowlands and valleys
Status: Endangered
Population: [Unknown] estimated to be less than 1,500 mostly in Sabah, Malaysia Borneo

Description:

  • smaller than all the other subspecies of the Asian elephant.
  • remarkably tame and passive, another reason some scientists think it was descended from a domestic collection.
  • longer tail that reaches almost to the ground and straighter tusks.
  • babyish faces and more rotund shapel.
  • The males can grow to a height of less than 2.5 meters compared to other Asian elephants that grow to 3 meters.
  • dark grey to brown skin.


Interesting Facts
These placid pachyderms can be greedy at times. They love durian and will roll the entire fruit - spikes and all - in mud, then swallow it whole!
